Larry King Law extends its deepest sympathies to the family of Timothy Chapman III of Newport News who passed away on June 12 after being in critical condition since June 1.
Chapman had been the victim of a pedestrian accident the afternoon of June 1 on Jefferson Avenue when according to Newport News Police Department officials say he was crossing the street, but not at the intersection, when he was struck by an SUV. The driver, a female, remained on the scene.
Always be sure to stay vigilant when crossing the street, and avoid crossing anywhere but a designated crosswalk. If you are injured at all in an accident, call 911 right away.
